Mixed Media Art Journal Cover ~ Today Yes You Can

Hi Everyone,

I have finished one of my watercolor journals from last year and I just needed to go finish it off by working on the cover so that's what I'm sharing with you today. 

I love the combination of yellow (fossilised amber and wild honey) with the peacock feathers Distress Oxides in the mixed media background.

The stamp I used was Kaisercraft's 'Scrap Studio'.

A paper doll (Tim Holtz) as the focal element plus a few pieces of ephemera from Echo Park's 'Just be You' die cuts which give this piece it's title.

I also decided to do a little cluster of lace and ribbon overplayed with a butterfly in the bottom right corner which turned out so lovely in combination with her dress and the sentiment.

It came together very quickly and Im so happy to be packaging this little journal off and sending it to it's new owner - shhhh it's surprise :)
