The StoryTeller Series~ #iamflorarose ~ Chapter ~ An afternoon to remember

Hi everyone, I am so excited to share Chapter 4 of the Flora Rose story with you all today.  In chapter 4, we learn more about what Flora studied at the Academy and what she plans to do with her skills now that she has settled back into the swing of life at Fort St. George.   Chapter 4 also sees the introduction of yet another male character in Flora's life- one she takes an instant dislike to but it's not that easy as he is introduced to her by none other than her father and he turns out to be the Captain of the Guard of the garrison.  You can catch Chapter 4 HERE And now, lets get this thought process started!! I start the video off by showing you my art journal- it has now come back to me after 3 rounds and you can see what the other girls have added to my art journal. So we all worked in our own books for Round 1- this was my page. I then sent my book over to Jane whose character is Emilie and this was her contribution for Ro...

DIY COMIC COLLAGE SHOES - Marvel Scrapbooking Kit

Hi everyone, When I first opened this kit, a crazy thought ran in my head!! And that thought was - Wouldn't it be awesome if I could collage shoes with these superhero papers? I felt brave enough to give it a try! So, I skipped out to K-mart and bought canvas shoes.  The first thing I needed to do was make a 1:1 mixture of PVA glue and water. Next, I cut out pieces of the scrapbooking paper that I thought would look good on the shoes. Then I started adding them on. When it came to the front of the shoe, I snipped along the curve to allow the paper to curve nicely with the curve of the shoe. At times, I used my bone folder to work it in and at times I used my nails. I also applied the collage to the tongue of the shoe. Once both shoes were collaged on both sides, I allowed them to dry f...

Gorjuss 'Mini' Art Journal 2018 ~ August ~ Fairytale Friends

Hi Everyone, This month's mini art journal layout features the Gorjuss mini stamp #13 Fairy Lights. She looked like a cute little wood sprite that I wanted to create a woodland scene featuring her. So I went into my stash and located my Fairytale Friends stamp set by Your Next Stamp and created this lovely woodland scene filled with gorgeous little woodland creatures.   The background was created with twinkling H2Os and the trees are die-cuts using my Impression Obsession Birch tree die set. Catch the process video HERE I hope you enjoy. xx Amira
