DIY Australian Pocket Traveler's Notebook ~ Part 3 ~ Making the leather cover

Hey everyone, Welcome back to Part 3 of my Aussie Pocket TN Series. We are on to making the cover! Now I must confess that the idea to make a Pocket TN came to me when I was sewing my insert.  I actually wanted it to be a Passport but was not satisfied by the size, so settled for the Pocket instead.  The previous tutorial is fine if you want to make an insert that is outside the traditional TN sizes. Here is what I mean: From left to right: Regular Travelers Notebook (TN), Pocket TN, Passport TN Here are the dimensions for each: Regular TN: Cover :10 1/8" x 8 3/4" H Inserts: 9" W x 8.5" H Pocket TN: Cover: 8.5" x 6" H Inserts: 7" W x 5.5" H Passport TN: Cover: 8.5" x 5 3/8" H Inserts: 7" W x 5" H This is when I decided to cut down the inserts I made in the previous blog to match a size that will fit into the pocket TN. Next, I reached for this remnant of leath...

TN Memory Keeping Layout - Sleep less, dream more

Hi everyone, Just a short one from me today. Here is another TN layout I made - about me this time. I am working in my DIY TN Inserts. If you are interested in making one yourself, check out my tutorial  HERE    I titled it 'sleep less, dream more' because it fits my sleeping habits perfectly! I have a hard time switching off my brain because of all the things I need to do. I also LOVE this 4" x 6" journaling that I picked up in my last haul video. Isn't she full of confidence!! Love her! If you are interested in the journaling cards & die-cuts I used in this layout check it out HERE   (I may have some kits still available).  I also love the quote on this other journaling card. Be Happy. It drives. People. Crazy. All topped up with a yellow pineapple and yellow roller skates. How fun and random is that!! Here is the whole layout. Thank you for stopping by. Y...

DIY Laminated Mini Paper Doris ~ Bo Bunny Carousel Christmas ~

Hello Crafty friends, I am officially in the Christmas spirit with these GORGEOUS papers by Bo Bunny! Pink Christmas? Yes please! Today I am making laminated mini paper Doris!! It all started when I was admiring the 3x4 journaling card sheet.  I left 2 journaling cards together (6"x4") and scored them down the middle (at 3") to create a booklet cover. Next, I cut regular copy paper down to 5 3/4" x 4" and I added approx 10 sheets into each booklet.  To bind, I used a long arm stapler but you could always pamphlet stitch bind if you like. You will need 4 of these booklets for our dori. Next, you will need to select the pattern paper of your choice to be the cover of your dori. I went with the holly paper.  It just seemed right. I cut this paper down to 8 1/4 " W x 4 1/2"H. Score at 3 7/8" , 4 1/8" and 4 3/8" but DO NOT FOLD / BURNISH along here. In orde...
