Hi everyone, I was very fortunate to receive the beautiful Autumn TN Kit from Scrapping Fun Kits to play with. So I decided to share it all with you in an unboxing on my YT channel. You can catch that unboxing HERE I then challenged myself to see how many layouts I could make using this kit pretending I was 'on the go' and only had my scissors and adhesive with me. Hi everyone, I'm back for part 3 of my Wizard Journal Series. If you missed it, check out Part 1  HERE If you missed Part 2, check it out HERE Today's journal is Ravenclaw inspired! Ravenclaw's colors are: - Deep blue - Light grey - Yellow Ochre - Metallic Silver - Black After gesso'ing the front and back of the journal, I painted the covers deep blue. After drying, I added a thick coat of Jo Sonya's crackle medium and allowed that to air dry. Next, I added a coat of yellow ochre with a dry brush in a haphazard formation. I did achieve a little 'crackle effect' but not as significant as I would have liked. But when compared to the inside of the covers (no crackle medium applied), you could really see and feel the difference. When all was dry, I rummaged through my cutting dies and decided on a frame and 2 sized of feathers. I die-cut them out of card board and double layered them for a raised effect. The f...

Hi everyone, I'm back for part 2 of my Wizard Journal Series. If you missed it, check out Part 1 HERE Today's journal is Hufflepuff inspired! Hufflepuff colors are really a beautiful combination - Deep Yellow - Yellow Ochre - Light Grey -Dark Grey - Black For this journal, I used yarn as a design element. The spine is my favourite - I love how it turned out although it did give me some grief. I had applied strips of yarn along the spine but when it had dried I wished I had cut them long enough to wrap around to the front and back just a tad.  So I extended these with hot glue but that was a disaster as they came right off. I then added glossy accents to hold down the non-functional glue extensions and then painted the glossy accent dimensional domes gold. I also love the gold 'gilding' effect around the edges. Hi everyone, I am so excited to be making a series of Mixed Media Journals using Eileen Hull's Journal XL Die.  This was inspired by my recent purchase of Colorplay's Wizard World paper collection. Watch my review video on these 2 products HERE In this series, I will make 4 journals all inspired by Harry Potter's House Faction colors (love you forever and ever J.K. Rowling for this wonderful fictional world you have created). This video kicks off the first of the process videos showing you how I made the 'Slytherin' journal cover. Hi everyone, I'm going to let you in on a little secret!!  I am a huge Harry Potter fan!! We are currently reading Order of the Phoenix at the moment and enjoying it thoroughly. So I am so excited to be bringing you a new series using Color Play's new collection Wizard World (a big thank you to Aunty Vera for my pre-order) ~ definitely inspired by Harry Potter. I review the papers in this pack as well as the card stock die-cuts and I show you my new Eileen Hull Journal die which I will be using to make a few H.P journals for the Potterheads in our family. Hi everyone, I am back for another layout in my Pocket Page Notebook. This is part of a swap I am involved in for The Stamp Spot. My partner and I have decided on a theme "my hometown" and I am so excited to be sharing my hometown of Perth with you all. I started off by collecting some tourist brochures and I set about cutting out images of popular places in Western Australia. All the sites fell into 4 distinct categories which are: 1- Perth and Fremantle 2- Rottnest Island & Pinnacle Desert 3- Western Australia's North Coast 4- Western Australia's South West  So proud to call Perth my hometown!! Hello everyone, Today I decided to time myself whilst making a memory keeping layout in my traveler's notebook insert to see just how long it takes me to make one of these things! I used 2 x Kaisercraft 6"x6" paper pads: - Attitude !  - #Me My favourite paper is this one!! Love this urban city sketch! It ties in so perfectly with my photographs. This was a gorgoues day that my son and I had along the Perth foreshore where he was pretending to 'lean on buildings'. Next, we went for a little lunch at a cafe and I took some pictures of him that I wanted to document. The sentiments I picked out matched my feelings! Hello everyone, I sat down to make a quick layout in my traveler's notebook using this photo of my mom. My objective in this layout was to use up as much scrap paper from my scrap bucket as I could so I started by matching papers to the colors of my photo. I decided to create a cluster of doily, tag and a few stickers around the photo. Next, I added a sticker which replaced journaling in this layout and which pretty much captured my thoughts. I also found some washi which also felt like the right sentiment and which I placed along the bottom of the right hand side layout to close the slight gap there. I found a project life card that ended up being the title of my layout and which pretty much captured the sentiment of the piece. The other wonderful feature in this layout are the fussy cut flowers which I strategically (and painstakingly) placed on both pages. Hi everyone, I am so excited to be participating in the  Pocket Page Notebook Swap 2018 over on the Pocket Page Notebook Community FB Group. Together, my partner Angela and I have a notebook each and we will be sending these notebooks back and forth until they are full of layouts. Pocket Page Notebooks are very unique in that there is a clear pocket page between each double spread layout that you can insert things into.  They are the brain concept of Michelle from the Stamp Spot . Today I finished my first layout and I am SO pleased with the result. There are essentially 2 double layouts here- 4 layouts! The first is the layout on the left. The second one is the front of the pocket page on the right of the first double spread layout. Over the page, the third layout is the back of the pocket page on the left of the second double spread layout. Finally, the fourth layout is the page on the right of the second double...

Hello Crafty Friends, I still have a second paper of the Sweetheart Floral 12" x 12" from Carta Bella. I had it sitting next to my planner the other day  And I thought to myself, wouldn't it be awesome if they had a planner with this paper? And then the idea struck!! Why not re-create this exact planner cover using this paper!! I started off by measuring my planner and cut my paper to the following size: - 11.25" W x 8.5" H - Score @5.25" and 6" along the width. Next, the pockets. For this I used black card stock from American Crafts. Cut one large pocket @ 5"W x 6.25"H - Score @ 0.5" and 4.5" along the width - Score @ 5.75" along the height Cut one small pocket @5" W x 4.25"H - Score @ 0.5" and 4.5" along the width - Score @ 3.75" along the height Attach the smaller pockets to the large left hand side pocket and then attach the left poc...
