12 Gorjuss Mini Art Journal for 2018 ~ November ~ New Heights Down Under

Hi everyone, It's November and I have gone along with Aunty Vera's theme of Australiana this month in my Gorjuss Mini Art Journal spread. The stamp I chose this month is No.2 - New Heights and I've paired it up with Lawn Fawn's Critters Down Under stamp for a Sheila in Aus episode (LOL- you will get it when you watch the video). I cant believe it's November already!!  Only one more empty page in this journal and she is complete! What an accomplishment :) To see how I made the background and coloured in the characters, please check out my YT video (link below). I adore the stack of critters with the Gorjuss girl on top :) With Mr Koala, napping casually in the tree behind them And Mrs Kookaburra watching on lovingly. And here is what the whole page looks like. Obviously, no room for a sentiment but I have called this layout 'New Heights Down Under' You can watch the process Video HERE Have a g...

Stamping with your dies ~ Autumn Tags

Hi everyone, I needed to sit down to make an Autumn Tag featuring a face so I pulled out my Penny Black Muse stamp, a few ink blocks by Ranger and my Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaf dies from the April Aunty Vera Kit and got cracking!! I also grabbed some fun foam and die-cut a whole heap of foam leaves (the color of the foam does not matter). Choosing the 3 smallest leaves, I attached 3 layers to a stamping block with double sided sticky tape and stamped a pretty leaf dress for each of my girls. Ink cube colors I used are: - Fired Brick - Gathered Twig - Mowed Lawn  - Victorian Velvet This is how their dresses turned out!! Next, I painted in their skin color using my Decadent Pie water color set from Prima and the girls all got changed into their dresses. Next, the girls all went to the salon for hair treatment. I added double sided tape along the hair area like so.... .. and filled in the hair with raffia. YES! Raffia :)...

Five Fabulous Autumn Leaf Cards

Hello crafty folks! I am having so much fun playing with the April Kit ~ All the leaves are brown too (2018). My favourite item from this kit is by far this stitched leaf die by Lawn Fawn. I die-cut leaves out of water color paper and had a whole heap of fun spraying them to make all sorts of different coloured leaves. I knew I had to make leaf cards- I just felt the need for it so here are 5 Autumn themed leaf cards to make you happy today :) Card 1- Hey there Foxy When I saw the Fox cut apart I knew this was always going to be a card. Foxy is the focal point here. I layered him up with 2 vertical striped papers and also decided to do torn edges to give more of a 'ragged' look.  I transferred the rub-on onto yellow and added that to the bottom and I love the sheer effect it gives. I added 2 clusters of leaves: one in the top right with an oval piece of ephemera ..  .. and one in the bottom left layered on top of raffia! T...

DIY Autumn Wreath Cards ~ Lawn Fawn ~ Stitched Leaf Dies

Hello Crafty Friends, I am so happy that Autumn is here. Well, it's around the corner at least. I don't know about you but it's been an unusual summer and I am ready for some knits and I really miss my uggies!! Today's creative team design project is inspired by THIS gorgeous stitched leaves die in the Aunty Vera Scrap & Craft April Kit. Pic of Lawn fawn die I dug into my card stock and die-cut a whole pile of leaves using craft, brown, light and dark green card. I was then overcome by an unmistakable urge to create a wreath out of these leaves and I just went with it!! Watch the process video to see me make this wreath! I then wondered whether adding raffia to the wreath would look any good- so I made another one and it adds a whole different look to it! These wreaths only measure approximately 4.5" x 4.5" so they really couldn't be used as home decor so I decided to turn them into cards. I reached for the Kraft card st...
