Wild Love Mixed Media Valentine Cards

Hi everyone, As soon as I saw the cute critters in Photoplay's  'Wild Love ' paper collection, I knew that I had to make cards that featured them. I really wanted to make mixed media cards using the extras I picked up along with the core products (see my unboxing). So I grabbed these and my Ranger  Distress Oxides  as well as the  journaling cards     and the  sticker sheet   as main elements. One more element that I used to make the card front was this  Letter It card stock  from Ranger. I am delighted that it held up to mixed media and stamping use! Mixed Media Technique 1 - Stencilling and Distress Oxide For this card, I used the Kaisercraft stencil and 4 colors of Distress Oxide on the card stock (which I trimmed to 4" wide) : - Iced Spruce, - Salty Ocean, - Picked Raspberry, - Peacock Feathers, I then fussy cut the journaling card with the cute bear and attached that to the ...

The BiG Aussie Craft Challenge ~ TN Memory Keeping ~ Happy Australia Day 2018

Hi everyone, Happy Australia Day! My family and I went hiking last weekend and I snapped THIS gorgeous photo which is just perfect for the BiG Aussie Challenge over at Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft this Australia Day Weekend. Two perfect items that are a MUST for this layout come straight out of the Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft January 2018 Kit . This Tim Holtz stencil really did do justice to my plain mustard yellow pattern paper with its exploration and traveler themed words- it is, funny enough, titled Traveler . The other beautiful is this Kaisercraft 'Open Road' stamp set! Featuring many native flora that I just have to feature really quickly here: Golden Wattle-  Acacia pycnantha Summer Beauty-  Corymbia ficifolia King Protea-  Protea cynaroides I also played around with stamping them out in Jet Black archival ink and Ranger Cool Graphite ink. The black makes it stand out while the grey gives ...

12 Tags of 2015- December Tag

Dear Crafty Readers, I am SO sorry for my recent lapse in blogging. Full time work, running after children and keeping up with a house that refuses to clean itself has gotten the best of me so please forgive me. Its Xmas Day and I had time to sit down and "whip up" my December Tag for my 12 Tags of 2015 Swap. So here goes: This is Tim's Tag: I really enjoyed this technique because I got to use stencil and spray ink on burlap and then piece together a wreath using branch and leaf punches. This was so much fun!! Here is the one I made for my swap partner (Sarah don't look!) And here is one I made for myself. Sorry!  Fairy girl through and through!! Also loved making a paper bow using my Envelop Punch Board. Have you made one before? I found the tutorial here . Thanks for looking. xxAmiraInOz
