12 Gorjuss Mini Paper Clips for 2018 ~ July ~ HOME SWEET HOME

Hi everyone, To make this month's paper clip, I pulled out a few items from my stash along with my pile of paper scraps. Along with this month's chosen Gorjuss Mini Stamp No.10- Purrfect Love , I chose: - Sizzix Thinlet - House die - Poppy Stamps - Country Fence - Poppy Stamps - Strolling Kitties I also pulled out my box of buttons and charms as finishing touches. My canvas is a piece of Kraft card stock that measures 3.5" x 8", scored and folded in half. I find papers in my scrap bucket and start assembling my mini Gorjuss paper clip art. The 'making it happen' element is a sticker from the I am by Simple Stories sticker pack and I top pff the paper clip with a Home Sweet Home ribbon by Americal Crafts and thread a 'bunch of keys' charm through the paper clip. Check out my process video HERE Thank you for stopping by. xx Amira

Handmade Cards of Joy, Love, Hope and Peace

Dear Readers, I must confess I have been in a crafting funk for the past 2 weeks or so and so it was a great pleasure to sit down today and make some simple cards to give out to my beautiful neighbours. Because we live by the ocean, I used this anchor die I recently acquired and thought it added a lovely non-traditional touch to this blue and silver colour scheme. I used the same stamp in all the cards- Kaisercraft's Holly Jolly. I stamped the centime "Joy- Love-Hope-Peace" using clear Versamark and then heat embossed it with embossing powder. I asked my 12 year old son what he thought and he said it needed more colour so I added a little more red and blue to produce a slightly different looking card. For the next card, I used red and blue papers and layered them up with some burlap to achieve such a classic looking nautical theme card. Love the frayed fringing <3 For the final 2 cards, I used traditional green and red Xmas c...

12 Tags of 2015- December Tag

Dear Crafty Readers, I am SO sorry for my recent lapse in blogging. Full time work, running after children and keeping up with a house that refuses to clean itself has gotten the best of me so please forgive me. Its Xmas Day and I had time to sit down and "whip up" my December Tag for my 12 Tags of 2015 Swap. So here goes: This is Tim's Tag: I really enjoyed this technique because I got to use stencil and spray ink on burlap and then piece together a wreath using branch and leaf punches. This was so much fun!! Here is the one I made for my swap partner (Sarah don't look!) And here is one I made for myself. Sorry!  Fairy girl through and through!! Also loved making a paper bow using my Envelop Punch Board. Have you made one before? I found the tutorial here . Thanks for looking. xxAmiraInOz

XOXO

Hi everyone, I made some cards using KaiserCrafts new XO collection as a guest designer for Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft . I really enjoyed coming up with ways to use both the cut apart pages as well as the Captured Moments 3"x 4" and 4" x 6" cards. Here are a few more cards that didn't make that post that I wanted to share with you. These are available on my HandmadeinOZ Facebook page. Just check out the Cards for Sale album. Card 1- I love you The background uses a combination of pattern papers from XO collection by Kaiser and 3"x4" Captured Moments cards. The butter fly die is from Spellbinders Die D-Lites- Butterfly and the flowers is an old one from my stash. I die-cut 2 hearts and popped them behind this thick fleur embellishment (once again trying to use up what I have). The boy and girl portraits are from the XO Collectables by Kaiser. And to decorate the inside, I used a 4" x 6" from the ...
