Hi everyone, It's October and predictably, I have decided on a Halloween theme for my Gorjuss Mini Art Journal October spread. The stamp I chose this month is No.49 - Piracy and I teamed her up with Stamp No.50 Jar of Hearts  and Stamp No. 3 The Pretend Friend. Yes! 3 stamps this month!! The background technique this month is a technique called Paint Resist. I used both the following stencils, one with black acrylic paint and one with white. To achieve this look. I then reached for this Thinlets Die by Sizzix called Trick or treat,  and in combination with a few pieces of ephemera from an older Tim Holtz Halloween kit, I was able to achieve a ver y spooky Trick or Treat scene that reminded me of that 1984 Stephen King horror movie - Children of the Corn. Hi everyone, Welcome back to another art journal layout in my Mini Gorjuss Art Journal. This month I used stamp  No 16. Puddles of Love. With a little bit of spring in mind (it's sunny one day and cold and rainy the next) and how I get through days when Im feeling a little 'stormy'. The background was created using Faber Castell Gelatos and mixing with gesso. I 'swirled' the gesso on to create a wind / rain appearance in the background. Love how that turned on. Next, I used some a puffy cloud die and cut out a few clouds in different sizes. I also pulled out this bauotful glass shard product called Ice Resin. I mixed it with dimensional paste and applied it to the clouds. I then gave the clouds a shine with Perfect Pearls for added color. For the illusion of 'puddles of rain', I added Mod Lodge under her feet and added a layer of Ice Resin. You can watch the process video on my YT channel HERE ...

Hi Everyone, This month's mini art journal layout features the Gorjuss mini stamp #13 Fairy Lights. She looked like a cute little wood sprite that I wanted to create a woodland scene featuring her. So I went into my stash and located my Fairytale Friends stamp set by Your Next Stamp and created this lovely woodland scene filled with gorgeous little woodland creatures.   The background was created with twinkling H2Os and the trees are die-cuts using my Impression Obsession Birch tree die set. Hi everyone ! Welcome back to the 12 Mini Gorjuss Paper Clips! It's June and this month, I chose Stamp No.39 'The Lost Heart' Gorjuss Mini Stamp by Santoro. I have already created an art journal page with this stamp which you can find  HERE and a process video for that which you can also find  HERE Once again, I am using my jumbo 97mm paper clips  I first make a base for my paper clip out of cream card stock measuring 3.25" x 9" scored @ 4.5" I am using elements from Kaisercraft's Teddy Bear Picnic Paper collection to create a very dimensional and layered paper clip this month. Also using my nested torn edge dies to give the appearance of extra texture which look great with that "fur" patterned paper. Loving that cute teddy stowing away in his owners satchel! This little girl loves her teddy~ I added embroidery thread to a mini bear tag for extra texture. And here is my paper...

Hi everyone ! Welcome back to the 12 Mini Gorjuss Paper Clips! It's May and I am continuing the galaxy theme again with this paper clip by showing you that alcohol inks can produce the prettiest galaxy backgrounds. If you didn't catch it, I created  an art journal page with this stamp which you can find  HERE and a process video for that which you can also find  HERE I used this mini stamp No. 45 "Fly away with me" from Santoro. I quickly coloured them in with my Kaisercraft Fusion alcohol markers. and used elements from Kaisercraft's Stargazer collection to create this flip paper clip. Hi Everyone, I am back with the June layout for my 'Mini' Art Journal 2018. I will be working in my DIY watercolor art journal. I have a tutorial for you if you want to make one yourself. Check it out  HERE   For this layout I went with Stamp No.39 'The Lost Heart' Gorjuss Mini stamp by Santoro.   I was inspired by her teddy bear! Also, the fact that she was all sad and dark made me think that she needed a burst of sunshine in her life so I reached for this Geo Quarters sunburst stencil by Kaisercraft. I also reached for the yellow from my Distress Crayons and some Americana Acrylic Paint in the color dolphin (aka grey). After the background was finished, I used my Stampaholic to stamp out the Gorjuss girl and a whole stack of teddy bears from Kaisercraft's 'Teddy Bear Picnic' stamp set.
