Hey everyone, I am starting this challenge off by re-scrapping this picture of my dearly beloved Nana. I chose this sketch, honestly, because of the doily! Quickly followed by the flowers.  My Nana was a very elegant lady and she loved lace and flowers. I knew that I wanted to use the paper collection  'TypeCast' by We R Memory Keepers  because it was very soft and floral and had lovely gold foiling and lots of pink (my Nana's favourite color). For the flowers in the layout, I use a die set by  KaiserCraft called Floral Clusters . For the title and the embellishments, I used border strips chipboard alpha stickers from my stash So here is my new and improved layout, my layout makeover, my re-scrapped layout!! So beautiful ! Dear Reader, Although I am not into celebrating Halloween, I am into completing this Tags of 2015 challenge that I have given myself so I can not back out of this one. To tell you the truth, I balked when I saw Tim's tutorial.  How the heck am I going to do that without any of those dies.  So you know what Im talking about, here is Tim's card.... But you know me (if you know me).  Throw yourself into this challenge- I told myself.  Why do something half-heartedly? If you want to do something, do it well - I say. So the first thing did was locate and print the picture of the front of the dies: I then, fussy cut them into layers as much as  I could by watching Tim's tutorial. I then started inking them up: Here is my zombie put together (after a good hour of working on him- wasn't easy!) Why make 1 when you can make 2 and give one to a friend: They are so awful! HA! I love them! So here is my tag ...

Dear Reader, I couldn't wait to get to this month's tag- I really loved the look of Tim's and knew exactly the picture I was going to use for mine! This is Tim's tag for August: And here is mine!! This tag uses a very special picture I have of my Mom and my Nanna!! I love the way my Nanna is looking up at Mom. Like she is SO PROUD of her. I think my Mom knew it too. I thought the phrase I use here was very appropriate. Because my Mom really does leave a sparkle everywhere she goes. Her house is spotless!! I love these acetate / 3D butterflies and they seemed so appropriate to use here. I also love this tag with the brad because it features cities in Egypt where both my parents were born and raised. This tag was very special to me and I know I can not give it away so I made another one for my swap partner.  And here it is. Can you guess who this famous person is? Let me give you a hint: ...
