Memory Keeping Layout ~ All up in my head

Hi everyone, I have been wanting to evolve my memory keeping this year and I thought I would try a new style which I am sharing with you today. I printed 2 x pictures of my son wearing these ridiculous panda and unicorn animal heads from Kmart  and I wanted to scrap a very fun and very colourful layout incorporating papers and die-cuts I picked up in my latest haul (check it out HERE ). I am working in my DIY TN Inserts. If you are interested in making one yourself, check out my tutorial HERE . I loved this 3" x 4" journaling card which pretty much describes the advice I raise my boys by. The right hand side of my double spread layout contained stamping, die-cuts and journaling. It also has THE MORE PERFECT sentiment which I made the title of this layout. Had to add some Converse to denote 'teenagerism'. The left hand layout contained that journaling card and this fab 'WHAT' cut out and this cu...

12 Gorjuss Mini Paper Clips for 2018 ~ January ~ love with all your heart

Hi everyone ! I am pleased to announce that in 2018 I will be introducing a series called "12 Mini Gorjuss Paper Clips". Yes! Those Gorjuss Mini Stamps I have been collecting are going to be put to good use! Following my January art journal layout (which you can find HERE ) , I stayed with stamp No.11 and used the second image that I coloured in - the green and pink girl. Next, I grabbed one of my jumbo 97mm paper clips  and created  a canvas out of card stock to the size of 3.23" W x 8" H and folded it in half. In this series, I still plan on using up my stash so I collected a 6"x 6" paper pad, a stamp and a die set to make a scene. I chose this pretty script background that had green, purple and gold hexagons and stamped a mini agapanthus image using Evergreen bough. Next, I die-cut my flower die out of green paper from matching paper purple and green paper from the paper pad and layered it up on gr...

Hi everyone, Im hoping to start filming process videos of my memory keeping in my TN inserts in 2018. Last year I did this and loved it.  I am feeling more confident that I can share my memories with you all this year. 12 Paper Clips of 2018 ~ January ~ Evolve

Hello Crafty friends, Here are my January clips for the #12PaperClipsOf2018 Yellow and black butterfly- this one is my personal pick. My main element is a butterfly which represents my word for the year. My word of the year is 'evolve' which I decided to feature by stamping. Tiger butterfly: brown and yellow I used 2 dies here: my tag die and a stitched square die. I also featured a window by adhering acetate between the double tag. Blue & Green Butterfly- these turned out just as beautiful. Gold cord / washi / sticker for embellishments finish this tag nicely. Check out my tutorial HERE Come join our group and have a lot of fun with us. xxAmira Our group is HERE   Lolly's Paperclips HERE

Gorjuss 'Mini' Art Journal 2018 ~ January ~ fall in love

Hello crafty friends, I am so excited to start this Gorjuss 'Mini' Art Journal 2018. I will be working in my DIY watercolor art journal. I have a tutorial for you if you want to make one yourself. Check it out HERE For the January layout I decided to use the No.11 You brought me love Gorjuss Mini stamp by Santoro. I stamped her out twice and coloured her in with my Koi Sakura watercolors. Next, I used my Grand Alder die to die-cut a tree out of watercolor paper which I then painted with watercolors.  Next, I created a gradient sky with my watercolors using an ombre technique. Watch my process video to see how that turned out (link below). Next, I found this perfect quote from the Tim Holtz "phrases" sticker book. And lastly, a few puffy hearts go on as embellishments and the whole layout is complete. Here are some pictures :) From this angle, you can see that the squirrel (and the girl) are popped up ...
